How do I program a Clicker universal keyless entry for a stanley garage door. Instructions don’t work:)?

I do not know why the instructions wil not work… I have programmed those things many times….. YOu get up on a ladder and with your clicker in one hand.. push on the opener and the other hand, push on that red button behind(sometimes on the side) of the garage door motor… when you see the light bulb fllicker, that means the clicker is programmed
