I love the convenience of using a keyboard that does not use batteries to open my garage, but I had the unit replaced twice in the past year. The switch box is mounted inside and has never been wet, and I do not see that the keyboard is damaged in any way.

A unit purchased May 2005, nine months later stopped working. A replacement installed to work then stopped 14 months later. The control unit has been in the garage, protected from the weather. I recommend looking elsewhere for a keyless garage door opener.

The device operates as specified. I bought it as a remedy, a bad keyboard that I had. Now I have spare parts, if other components fail in the system. The overall purchase was very good and as expected.

This product is a lifesaver for those who do not want to install one of these wireless “keyboard. To say wireless, check the battery from time to time there is a concern over time.
